Privacy Policy
How MUSIC CUP handles tournament and catalog data.
Last updated: 2026-07-27
Overview
MUSIC CUP is designed to work without an account. You can search for an artist, play a song tournament, and crown a winner without providing your name, email address, or payment information.
Music Catalog Requests
Artist searches, song lookups, artwork, and audio previews are provided by Apple through the public iTunes Search API. These requests are sent directly from your browser to Apple. Apple's own privacy terms apply to those requests.
MUSIC CUP does not download, host, or permanently store preview audio.
Local Tournament Data
Tournament progress and interface preferences may be stored in your browser so a game can survive a refresh. This information stays on your device unless a feature clearly tells you that a result will be submitted or shared.
Anonymous Usage Data
We may collect limited, anonymous product events such as searches, tournament starts, completions, and shares. We use these events to improve reliability and understand which parts of the product are useful.
We do not sell personal information. We do not require a music-service login and do not receive access to your Apple Music, Spotify, or other streaming account.
Public Results
Future ranking and sharing features may accept anonymous tournament results. A result may include the artist, song identifiers, tournament format, final placements, language, and completion time. It will not require your name or email address.
